Happy Tuesday!
The weather was beautiful today and we were able to get outside to play kickball for gym!
We started out the day by discussing some ways that we can stay in the green zone if we are feeling silly, fidgety or angry. The students came up with some great examples of things that they could do and it seems as though they were using them throughout the day.
In math we discussed what a "unit of measurement" is for cm and mm. We used our thumbnails, which are about 1cm wide, to make estimates about various items in the room. Then, we used meter sticks to get an accurate measurement and see how close our estimates were. I was able to check in with each student to ensure they are lining up their measuring tools properly and getting accurate measurements.
We finished our landscape art projects today by going over the pencil lines with a thin Sharpie! They look absolutely amazing and the students did a great job of following directions!
Ask your child about our new class reward system.
