Today in math we began learning about ways to graph information. We began today wth tally charts. We learned that tally charts require a title, categories, data (tallies) and labels. Take a look below at our firs attempt at a tally chart!
We did a review of our long vowel sounds, and then completed our journal entries for the week. There was a big improvement just in the last couple of weeks with the students abilities to give detail and description about one particular event, rather than listing them out. Yay!
Tomorrow we will be trying out a new centre rotation system for language arts activities. We are hoping to practice our new centre system enough that students will be able to work through the stations independently after the winter break. Although we use the word "centres", students will just work through a variety of activities at their desk spaces.
